Property Description

PLEASE NOTE XMAS AND NEW YEAR'S EVE HAVE A 7-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT. 

Paradise Point’s Studio Apartment 5A can sleep up to 3. It is perfect for a solo or couples retreat.  It features a kitchenette, AC, Fan, TV, full bed, twin sofa bed, bathroom, and balcony. There is WiFi throughout the property and shared access to the pool and decks. It is only a 12-minute walk away from the beach, and a 6-minute car ride away from the great food and nightlife of St. Lawrence Gap in one direction and Oistins in the other.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

**THERE IS A 7-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY FOR CHRISTMAS, AND OLD YEAR'S | THERE IS A 4-NIGHT MINIMUM FOR ALL OTHER BANK HOLIDAY WEEKENDS UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE.

While this apartment was completely renovated in march 2022 due to budget restraints we kept the original terracotta tiles which have lots of imperfections.

1 - Our property is built into the Maxwell Hill cliff front, while it boasts an amazing ocean view it also comes with a lot of stairs. This unit is at our entrance on level 5 which is 5 stories above our pool and bottom entrance. IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AT PARADISE POINT.

2- Our spaces while comfortable and stylish have very compact footprints (please see the floor plan in the pictures).

3- In an effort to be eco-friendly, we use solar-powered water heaters which means our hot water doesn’t get the hottest, especially on rainy or cloudy days.

4- our property is clean, modern & central BUT IT IS A LOW BUDGET PROPERTY. With our low rental price also comes low-budget furnishings. The bed is a cheap metal frame with an 8” hybrid spring/memory foam mattress from Amazon (the bed while comfortable will squeak with a lot of heavy movement). Our bed linens and towels are also from the Amazon low-budget line. Our kitchen items are from the dollar store & Walmart.

5- We have opted for cost-effective wall-mounted window air conditioning units. It is important to note that these units may not offer the same level of quietness or cooling performance as the split system or central air systems that guests may be accustomed to in their home countries. As a budget-friendly establishment situated on an island with some of the highest gas and electrical prices globally, we are unable to keep the air conditioning units running in the apartments prior to check-in. We kindly request that guests operate the air conditioning units only while they are physically present in the apartment

6-The pool/cabana is sometimes rented out on weekends and during school holidays for private events which normally last 4-6 hours. The pool/cabana will be closed to guests during private events. We try to keep loud music to a minimum and require all events to finish by 10 pm the latest. We will always notify you of any events on the property beforehand. 

7- interior renovations on level 5 and level 4 might be occurring during stays. some noise may be experienced Monday-Friday 10 am-6 pm. We make every attempt to keep noise to a minimum while guests are in the building but as we expand some noise is unavoidable.

8- You have full property access (including the shared exterior spaces) for the occupancy which you booked + 2 free visitors. Based on availability additional visitors can purchase a Visitors Pass at $25 USD/person for 6 hours, or you can book the Poolside Party Cabana for up to 30ppl for 4 hours at $300 USD or the Rooftop Deck can be rented for $200 USD for up to 15ppl for 5 hours. 

9- The balcony of this apartment is close to the road and public steps.

10Please note we do not have 24/7 maintenance or housekeeping service like most hotels. Our maintenance and housekeeping staff are only available between the hours of 9am - 5pm.

11- Our housekeeping and maintenance team are available to change your gas tank between 9 am and 5 pm. In case of an emergency run-out outside of these hours, you can easily access spare tanks in the guest supply closet (apt 2/tinyhouse) or the housekeeping room (apt 5a). Simply reach out to us via the platform you booked with or send the office a message for the door code and a step-by-step video tutorial on how to change the tank. 

12- Please be advised that our establishment operates as a self-check-in and self-service property. Access is managed through electronic codes and the property is monitored by video surveillance for your safety and security. 

13- As a tropical location you can expect to find monkeys, lizards, birds, crickets, frogs, mosquitoes, and our family cat ginger on the property. 

14- We ONLY provide bath towels, guests will need to bring their own beach/pool towels. We only provide bed sheets, we do not have blankets/comforters as we are in the tropics.

15- Please note that Barbados, being classified as a developing country, experiences occasional island-wide utility outages. Although these instances are not frequent, they are more likely to occur during the hurricane season. It is worth mentioning that our building is strategically located in the heart of the popular South Coast tourist district, which typically results in quicker restoration of services compared to the more rural and less densely populated areas of the island. However, it is important to be aware that our property does not possess backup water tanks, generators, satellite phones/internet, or natural gas tanks.

16- All payments made on our website are submitted in USD and are subject to your local bank's local exchange rate & foreign currency taxes/fees.

17- We cannot assume responsibility for any personal belongings left on the premises and cannot be held liable for their loss, damage, or safekeeping. To ensure the safeguarding of your belongings, we strongly advise guests to thoroughly check their accommodations, including all rooms, closets, and common areas, prior to departure.

18- For the safety and security of all guests, we kindly request that personal belongings not be left unattended in common areas of the property. This includes but is not limited to items such as mobile phones, wallets, keys, and other valuable possessions.

19- We do not operate as a hotel and do not provide services such as bellboy assistance, daily housekeeping, concierge assistance, or front desk services.

Booking Terms

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS AT PARADISE POINT BARBADOS

 BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

  • The reservation is binding once it has been confirmed and a reservation number has been provided. In order to confirm your booking a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE deposit is required along with a $100 USD Refundable Security Deposit. The remaining 50% of your non-refundable non-transferable payment is due 1 WEEK before check-in.
  • All apartments have a 3-night minimum stay except holiday weekends where we have a 4-5 night minimum depending on the holiday.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

  • The room will be available on the day of arrival at 4:00 p.m. at the earliest unless another time has been indicated. Check-out from the room must take place by 11:00 a.m on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed.

CANCELLATION 

Please note that all bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERRABLE. If the customer cancels their reservation they will NOT be entitled to a refund of payment, transfer of credit, or change of date. We recommend that our guests take out travel insurance against any possible cancellation or trip disturbance due to emergencies such as, but not limited to health issues, death in the family, scheduling conflicts, weather issues, flight disturbances, etc.

REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT

Your Damage Deposit will be refunded to you electronically within 72 hours after turnover cleaning and inspection provided you:

  • Check out by the agreed date/time
  • Do not smoke inside your apartment (smoking is allowed on patios or by the pool cabanas)
  • No glass in the pool
  • No more than your max apt occupancy + TWO [2] free visitors at a time (unless add on passes or event rentals have been booked) 
  • There's no damage to the apartment or common areas.
  • Clean up after yourself in common areas. 
  • There is no excessive cleaning in apt or common areas (for example caused by limes/parties/gatherings) or stained linens/towels with sunscreen, makeup/food that can't be removed.

 GUESTS ARE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ABOVE THE $100 USD DAMAGE DEPOSIT. 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • NO minors without a parent/guardian.
  • Please note, for safety & liability reasons we cannot accept pets for short-term stays. For long-term monthly rentals, pets are accepted on a case-by-case scenario with renters insurance purchased and the pet kept leashed while in common areas.
  • Children are included in the maximum room occupancy.
  • Please note there is limited off-street parking and parking is at your own RISK.
  • Electric vehicle charging at additional cost.
  • Exterior renovations of our top entrance on level 5 and level 3 might be occurring during stays. some noise may be experienced Monday-Friday 10 am-6 pm. We make every attempt to keep noise to a minimum while guests are in the building, but as we expand some noise is unavoidable
  • The pool and/or rooftop deck may be closed for up to 6 hours a day for private functions, most commonly on weekends and bank holidays.
  • Additional visitors come at a fee of $25 USD per person. Alternatively, you can add on pool limes ($300 USD for 20 persons for up to 4 hours) or Roof Top Deck Limes ($150 USD for 20 persons for up to 4 hours.)
  • ALL TERMS are subject to the Government's Covid Emergency Management Laws
